“Inspire” is part of a very special bespoke collection of Cloudstones that I made for the Holidays this year. One of only 12 pieces, these inspired objects are part-sculpture, part-painting, and are all original, signed, one-of-a-kind works of art.

Each stone has been mindfully selected during walking meditations on California beaches for its shape, size, feel, weight and overall energetic effect. Back in the studio, I wet sand the stone to smooth and subtly shape it, dry it in the sun, and meticulously paint layers upon layers of paint and glazes to create the “cloud” effect - a lightness that connects us to the heavens - which contrasts with the weighty, tangible feeling of the natural stone - which connects and grounds us to the earth.
